The official kick-off meeting of the “CrafDi – Crafting Digitally: Bridging Artisans to the Global Market” Erasmus+ project was successfully held in Athens, Greece, on 19–20 June 2025.

Representatives from Luznava Manor (Project Coordinator) in Latvia, Helix Social Innovation Hub in Greece, and Hayatboyu Eğitim Bilim Sanat Kültür Derneği (LESACA) in Turkey participated in the meeting. Hosted and organized by Helix, the meeting focused on planning the project’s objectives, implementation steps, and inter-partner cooperation in detail.

On the first day, the project team presented the draft designs of digital training materials and the project handbook. These resources aim to support artisans, particularly those working in rural areas, in developing digital skills and showcasing their products in online environments.

The project partners also met with Professor Giorgos Panagiaris, a faculty member of the joint Museum Studies graduate program run by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of West Attica. The discussions explored ways to integrate project outputs into academic programs and promote the digital preservation of cultural heritage.

On the second day, the meeting continued at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens. This session focused on planning webinars, local training activities, and dissemination efforts for the upcoming phases of the project.

The CrafDi project aims to enhance the digital literacy of artisans, preserve traditional crafts, and equip them with the skills needed to access and thrive in global markets.
