About Project

Aim of the Project
The main aim of the CrafDi project is to empower rural artisans in Latvia, Greece, and Turkey by equipping them with the digital skills and tools necessary to access global markets, preserve traditional craftsmanship, and build sustainable online businesses.

Although rich in cultural and economic value, traditional crafts are increasingly at risk due to limited digital presence, market isolation, and generational gaps. CrafDi bridges this gap by combining traditional knowledge with modern e-commerce tools, allowing artisans to reach new audiences and secure long-term income opportunities.

Through training, mentoring, digital resources, and cross-cultural cooperation, the project aims to:

🌐 Promote digital empowerment among artisans through e-commerce and digital marketing tools

🛍️ Establish a digital marketplace where traditional crafts can be showcased and sold internationally

🧵 Preserve and modernize traditional crafts, ensuring their relevance in today’s global economy

🤝 Encourage intercultural learning and cooperation across partner countries

💼 Boost employability and economic resilience of artisans, especially women and youth in rural areas

By the end of the project, artisans will not only be able to create and manage their own online shops but also become ambassadors of cultural heritage and social entrepreneurship in their communities.
